After 14 to 21 days of setup, you can start harvesting your mushrooms, which are ideal for sautéing, baking into pizzas, or adding to salads. Each kit guarantees at least one full yield.
HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR CHESTNUT MUSHROOM KIT?
With proper care, your kit will yield flavorful mushrooms:
- Misting: Spray the block with water 2 to 3 times a day to maintain optimal moisture.
- Temperature: Keep the room at 21°C, and away from direct sunlight.
- Multiple harvests: With consistent care, your kit may produce up to three harvests.
WHAT’S IN THE BOX?
- Fully colonized nutrient block: A substrate made from hardwood sawdust, wheat bran, and water, pre-colonized with mycelium. Ready for cultivation—no inoculation needed.
- Humidity bag: The block is packed inside a humidity bag to maintain moisture and prevent contamination.
- Durable box: A compact box that holds everything together and is easy to store.
UNPACKING INSTRUCTIONS:
- Open the front flap of the box.
- Cut an “X” in the plastic bag covering the sawdust block.
- Spray the exposed surface with water 2 to 3 times daily to help the mushrooms grow.
Note: A soft, white, mold-like layer on the block’s surface is completely normal, indicating healthy, active mycelium.
CARE TIPS:
- Maintain humidity: Keep the surface of the block slightly damp, not wet, to avoid rot.
- Multiple harvests: Proper care may reward you with multiple flushes over time.
STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS:
If you’re not ready to start growing right away, store the kit:
- At room temperature: For up to 2 weeks.
- In the refrigerator (4-6°C): For up to 1 month.
Prolonged storage may cause mushrooms to begin sprouting, slightly reducing the yield.

How to open it properly?
Tear open the box lid where marked. Then, using a clean knife, cut an X-shape into the plastic packaging at the same spot. The block is ready to grow – keep it in the same position as in the box.

Care tips
Mist the block with clean water 2–3 times per day. Avoid direct sunlight, heat sources, and drafts – mushrooms prefer a cool, bright, and humid environment.

Storage tips
If you’re not ready to start growing yet, keep the kit in the fridge (+1 to +5 °C) for up to one month. Important: do not remove it from the bag and store it horizontally.
