This pair combines a bright yellow cluster that turns a small kitchen corner into a visible project with fast, coral-coloured change that is easy to notice from day to day. The two blocks can develop at different speeds; that contrast is part of the experience rather than a fault.
After harvest, compare a delicate, gently nutty flavour; the colour may soften during cooking with a meaty texture and a full savoury flavour that browns well in a hot pan.
How to care for the grow kit
Mist both opened growing surfaces lightly with clean water two or three times a day. Keep the boxes upright in bright indirect light, away from direct sun, radiator heat and a strong draught. Assess each block separately because two species do not always need exactly the same rhythm.
For the first block, Harvest the whole cluster while the small caps are open, fresh and still pleasantly firm. For the second, In suitable conditions the first pins often appear in about 5–9 days. Harvest the whole cluster while the caps are open but before their edges curl strongly upwards.

Unpacking
Open the marked section on the front of the box. Cut an X in the bag at the exposed opening without removing the block. Lightly moisten the revealed surface and keep the box standing on its base.
Care tips
The surface should stay moist but not wet. Do not leave water pooled in the bag or on young mushrooms. Long stems and small caps can indicate insufficient fresh air. After the first harvest, keep caring for the block: a smaller second flush may appear.
Storage before starting
If you are not ready to begin, keep the unopened kit upright in the refrigerator at 4–6 °C for up to one month. The fresher the start, the stronger the first flush is likely to be. A white layer on the substrate is living mycelium, not automatically a sign of spoilage.
