Pink Oyster Mushroom Grow Kit | 2 Cups
A compact two-cup pink oyster mushroom grow kit: two small growing points, visible daily change and a meaty texture and a full savoury flavour that browns well in a hot pan.
A living gift with an edible finish
The two-cup format makes fast, coral-coloured change that is easy to notice from day to day easy to place in a small kitchen. Two compact growing points can be observed separately and make a playful gift for one person or a shared household.
Once harvested, the mushrooms offer a meaty texture and a full savoury flavour that browns well in a hot pan.
How to care for the grow kit
Keep the opened growing surface lightly moist and place the kit in a bright spot away from direct sun. Pink oysters prefer a reasonably warm room, around 18–24 °C. Mist lightly two or three times a day, adjusting to how quickly the surface dries.
In suitable conditions the first pins often appear in about 5–9 days. Harvest the whole cluster while the caps are open but before their edges curl strongly upwards.
What is in the box
Two compact, fully colonised growing units, moisture-supporting packaging and species-specific UNGU instructions. The culture is already established, so no extra inoculation is required.
Unpacking
Open the marked section on the front of the box. Cut an X in the bag at the exposed opening without removing the block. Lightly moisten the revealed surface and keep the box standing on its base.
Care tips
The surface should stay moist but not wet. Do not leave water pooled in the bag or on young mushrooms. Long stems and small caps can indicate insufficient fresh air. After the first harvest, keep caring for the block: a smaller second flush may appear.
Storage before starting
If you are not ready to begin, keep the unopened kit upright in the refrigerator at 4–6 °C for up to one month. The fresher the start, the stronger the first flush is likely to be. A white layer on the substrate is living mycelium, not automatically a sign of spoilage.

What’s in the UNGU box?
Inside, you’ll find a pre-colonized substrate block, a humidity bag, and a short growing guide. It’s all packed conveniently and ready for your first harvest.
How to open it properly?
Tear open the box lid where marked. Then, using a clean knife, cut an X-shape into the plastic packaging at the same spot. The block is ready to grow – keep it in the same position as in the box.
Care tips
Mist the block with clean water 2–3 times per day. Avoid direct sunlight, heat sources, and drafts – mushrooms prefer a cool, bright, and humid environment.
Storage tips
If you’re not ready to start growing yet, keep the kit in the fridge (+1 to +5 °C) for up to one month. Important: do not remove it from the bag and store it horizontally.
